When you apply for a profile or send an inquiry, we ask for your name, email address, institution (optional), and professional details. We never share your email publicly — it is used solely for direct communication between researchers and organisations.
How we use your data
- Researcher profiles: Your information (excluding email) is displayed on your public profile so that NGOs and policymakers can find you.
- Inquiries: When someone sends you an inquiry through GeoNigeria, their message and email are forwarded directly to you. Your email stays hidden; they only see the reply when you respond.
- Admin oversight: For quality control, GeoNigeria administrators may review inquiry messages and monitor platform usage. Inquiries are stored securely and never sold or shared with third parties.
Cookies & tracking
We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers. The only cookie may be a temporary session cookie for the admin panel login. No personal data is mined or sold.
Your rights
You can request to edit or delete your profile at any time by contacting us at the contact page. We will remove your information promptly.
